about

The three members of Olen'K are from Limoges in France and come from diverse cultural and musical horizons. They met in 1999 at the annual street music festival in France, the "fête de la musique". Very quickly, the first compositions started to take shape. Each band member brings his or her own unique talent and contributes equally to the compositions. The melodious sounds (bass, keyboards, voice or guitar) are born and harmonised during "jamming" sessions. Olen'K, an inspired band with very wide influences, generates a sound that is not easy to classify. The music is at times enigmatic and ethereal, even mystical, and at other times pulsating to faster rhythms, sometimes with a touch of folk. The versatility of each band member gives Olen'K an openness and infinite creativity which the band loves to share with its audience, whether it be on stage at a rock festival or in a church. http://www.olenk.com/ http://www.myspace.com/olenk User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
