Experimental Chillwave Music, Ohsaurus blends together elements of Downtempo Electronica, Chillhop, Synthwave and IDM to create songs that are both soothing and satisfying. What initially began as a songwriting exercise blossomed into a one-man project with tremendous potential. Ohsaurus' first project was self-released in 2009, titled "Lose Your Shoes; I've Got Some Blues" - a collection of 8 tracks exploring instrumental hip-hop, electronica and future-beats. In the years to follow, Ohsaurus released several Full-Length albums and EP's both independently and in collaboration with several labels, eventually booking performances around the tri-state area and opening for artists like Shigeto, Anamanaguchi and Flote. Over the next decade, Ohsaurus continued to produce and release music of varying electronic genres - playing with styles such as deep house, future garage and ambient. Throughout this time many labels helped publish and promote Ohsaurus' music, such as Fog Rattle, Maze City Records, *Fwonk, FuseLab, Sunup Recordings, NoEcho Records, DaP Station and many more. 2019 marked a turning point in Ohsaurus' production style, seeing an increased focus on overall texture while maintaining their songwriting approach. Heavy use of static, distortion and bit-crushing remains a trademark of the modern Ohsaurus sound.
