The Oh Voices story is a familiar one; from their humble beginnings in Queens, NY to their untimely collapse somewhere on the shores of Portugal... it all started out in a room full of refurbished toilets. It was here, in the back of a toilet repair shop, where they had first met and recorded the bulk of their material. They had originally planned to be a Phish cover band and play rest stops across the country. Seconds later, they realized that the only good thing that came out of Vermont was: a) maple syrup and b) Miranda July. They then agreed to disagree. Andrew now lives in Bangor, Maine, squatting in an abandoned fish stick processing plant with his wife and three children: phil, phillip, and fill (all after the late, great Phil Hardy) Nicolas was last seen in Boston, Massachusetts, living with his longtime friend and companion, a crushed commemorative plate of bozo the clown in a brown paper bag with a frowning face poorly drawn in crayon on it. One thing is for certain though, from toilets they arose and to toilets they have declined.. for both of their homes are in places that both share the same acronym of B.M.
