Since 2009, this dynamic group of musicians have been channeling the spirit of turn-of-the-century indie-rock. The San Luis Obispo, CA natives draw their inspiration from the genre's many pioneers, including Arcade Fire, Conor Oberst, The Decemberists, and The Good Life. From fantastically optimistic to somber and downright hopeless, the band's always theatrical sound serves as a backdrop for what Dan Evon of Performer Magazine deems 'ingenious lyrics'. Though front man Patrick Patton dons the songwriter hat, the band divvies up vocal duty between himself and the band's two front women, synth player Andrea Patton, and keyboardist Rachel Coons. Bass guitarist Joshua Grant, drummer Matt Preston, and Violinist Jonathan Sorbello round out the band's unique sound.
