ODE TO MARILYN was produced at the experimental studio of the Finnish Broadcasting Company in November 1973. The experimental studio mostly operates in the Pasila TV Centre's civil shelter, ensuring true underground music - 15 metres underground ... It is an extensive experimental electronic-acoustical composition with roots in modern concert music, jazz and pop. Sound material used includes the flute, trumpet, bass, several percussion instruments, kantele, organ, singer Pirkkoliisa Tikka (in the section A Doll's Weeping) and sound effects from the real and the unreal.
