..You take five musicians, each one of them with a separate musical taste and influence from all areas of the genre spectrum, put them together and they present to you a creation beyond that of any sound unthinkable. The sound of OCTOBER BURNING. Four of the five members of October Burning grew up in the same San Diego area and they all knew each other throughout the years while playing in separate bands and coming across each others paths though mutual friendships and playing the same local venues. Guitarist Hexx claims "It's funny how it all came together coming from different bands but we always knew someday we would unite and start a group." Formed in 2003 with former band mates of a previous heavy metal collaboration, drummer Ricky and guitarist Mike started a new project bringing in long time friend Hexx on guitar, and later Darrell in on bass completing the band as instruments. In early 2005 Marcos Curiel of San Diego based band P.O.D. took a strong interest in the group and noticed the talent and drive that the group possessed and offered to step in and become producer for O.B. In their creation process October Burning formulized their raw, passionate feel with one missing element, a vocalist. Though time the band had somewhat struggled to find the front man they needed to complete their sound but continued to create new songs and keep their instrumentals sharp.
