Artist
Bio from http://www.myspace.com/octavechanute "Octave Chanute was formed in late September, 2003 by five friends in Boise ID, who had no intentions other than to play music together and have a good time. Chanute continued to play only for themselves and a few friends for a couple of months, never with any “goals” in mind. Then in November, 2003 Chanute self recorded a six song demo in their garage and began to play shows in the Boise area. Octave Chanute quickly gained a reputation, and local following in Boise for their dangerous live show and for the friendliness and kind disposition of their members. In late March, 2004 Chanute entered a local recording studio and spent two weekends recording their ten song “full-length-demo” entitled I’ll be Turning my Back Now. The demo was entirely D.I.Y. The liner notes were hand drawn and photocopied by members. The cover was silk-screened on to each case individually by the band, who began to sell them wherever they could to whoever would listen. Now Octave Chanute is ready to take their music to the next level, they are currently attempting to book short “tours” to neighboring cities in order to spread their music and their passion." Octave Chanute broke up in 2004.
