Some musicians come together to become famous, others to become rich, yet others form a band to keep boredom at bay and write beautiful pop songs. Songs which capture the feeling of endless sunday afternoons in the middle of-nowhere, songs that immerse you in a warm sea of sound, made with a minimum of musical means: shimmering guitar sounds, a rock-solid rhythm section and lyrics that make time stand still. After the release of the Spirit Link EP in 2004, Ocean's Edge really started to make a name. A rapidly increasing number of live gigs playing their original songs resulted in an amazing 2006: dozens of shows in the southwestern part of The Netherlands, an appearance in the TV-show Klipzz, gigs at the Alive and Mosselrock festivals and the first place in the talent contest Hooikoorts. On top of that, the band found a musical ally in singer-songwriter Danny Vera for the recording of their second EP. The future? A promotion tour for the Forever Seventeen EP is taking place and the band are keen on spreading their music around the world!
