Oblivion Awaits originated in Belgrade, Serbia in 2003 as instrumental symphonic heavy metal consisting of Srđan Jovanović on guitars. Preceded by three demos (A Winter's Night in 2004, Winter Is Coming in 2005, and Where The Muses Dwell in 2005), the first full-length album, Winter Is Coming, was released in 2008.
