OHN is an Austin, TX, USA band, founded by Bill Sarver (programming and production - aka Bildeaux). Other members include: Chris Forshage (guitar, horn), Andrew Tachovsky (guitar), Brad Houser (bass, sax) and most recent addition Allison Scharf (vocals). OHN's style - described as "DJ Shadow meets Bitches Brew-era Miles Davis" - has garnered rave reviews, from local & US media. OHN utilizes a combination of dual guitars, trumpet, keys, bass, drums, middle-eastern instruments, programmed beats, saxophone & samples, to create a live / electronic sound. OHN was formed from musicians from several Austin, TX bands. OHN defies categorization; an amalgam of diverse artists & genre, converging so seamlessly that the listener may be convinced that they are together, playing, rehearsing & recording 24/7. They are not—although they do rehearse more before a live performance—but their ability to find the same sonic groove is no accident. Each of the members brings an impressive musical pedigree to the stage and studio and, more importantly, an attitude that pushing the boundaries outward and upward is good. Sarver, has worked on material for artists including: Jarboe La Salle Devereaux (aka Jarboe and Jyoti - of Swans), Mike Robinson (aka Riggs and Mike Riggs - of Rob Zombie), Soak (of Interscope and Sire) and Laura Scarborough. Forshage has played with many acts, including Larry and Grass. Tachovsky is a guitar veteran, previously sharing stages with Forshage, in the band Pura Vi
