Bakersfield, California! A town known for its blistering heat, trigger-happy cops, and the smell of oil. That same town that's been the brunt of Hollywood jokes for decades. And yet, through it all, Bakersfield has produced two of the world's most legendary artists: Nu-Metal band KoRn and Country Music singer Buck Owens. Meet Nyceria, the next five piece alternative rock band to emerge out of Bakersfield, CA. Nyceria is led by front man, singer guitarist, Aaron Crowell with his brother Adam Crowell on the drums, Alex Pennock on lead guitars, bassist Blake Tedder, and Elementary Recording Artist Rohan Cowden on the keys. Things started in early 2003 when Aaron and Adam first picked up their respective instruments. The two of them, without the constraint of formal lessons, were truly able to develop their own unique style of writing and creativity. The two would stake claim to their parent’s garage and start disrupting the neighborhood from its confines. Now, Alex didn't live in Bakersfield or even California for that matter. No, the grunge influenced hippy was aimlessly drifting the nation, living in his 1985 VW Cabriolet. It wasn't until the summer of 2003, at the request of an old flame that Alex headed out west to Bakersfield, unknowingly igniting the series of chain events that would eventually bring him to the garage. Aaron's passion for music lies with hard rock/metal bands like Slipknot, KoRn, and Mudvayne, while Alex favors the likes of The Chemical B
