Artist
NuBorg's characteristic new ambient sound is characterized by NuBorg aka Gunhild Nyborg's haunting vocals, many layers of ambient guitars by Bjørn Charles Dreyer (Lene Marlin), Marius Reksjø’s (Beady Belle) sleek bass lines and drummer Erland Dahlen’s (Madrugada) heavy beats. Guest on some of the tracks is guitarist Gildas Le Pape from the black metal band Satyricon. The project is led by NuBorg herself and initiated by her vision of a soundscape unlike other artists' sounds. Influences are artists like Massive Attack, Kate Bush and Portishead. All songs are written by Gunhild Nyborg, some of them co-written with established songwriters in the UK, among them Martin Sutton (LeeAnn Rimes, Backstreet Boys) and Christopher Neil (Celine Dion, Mike and the Mechanics). The music is produced and mixed by producer at Waterfall Music, Odd Jensen and Gunhild Nyborg. The vinyl is cut by Doug Sax at The Mastering Lab., Cal., U.S. Gunhild Nyborg lives between Oslo, Norway and London, UK and has previously released the album "Transitions" in her own name, an acoustic jazz-pop blend.
