Northern Star is a record label and mp3 vendor dedicated to psychedelic, experimental, underground and independent sounds. The label launched in March 2006 with the double cd compilation Psychedelica Vol: 1 which featured Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels, The Telescopes, Electric Prunes, Silver Apples and many more. The mp3 shop was launched in November 2006 to enable like minded bands to sell their music to a dedicated audience. Psychedelica Vol: 2 followed in March 2007 to critical acclaim garnering great reviews from Billboard, NME, The Sunday Times, Mojo, The Word, Reverb, Rumore. The revolution is set to really take hold with the onset of Psychedelica Three, the best in the series so far.
