So who is North Of The Border? The short answer is four boys playing as loud as they possibly can. The long answer is vocalist and part time guitarist Brendan Horn, bassist and part time vocalist Josh Paget-Russell, guitarist, occasional vocalist and funny man Peter Prior, and two parts drummer, one part manager, half part machine and four parts alcohol disposal unit James Russell. Formed in late October 2007, the four piece alternative-goes-punk rock outfit has wowed audiences from the local scene supporting acts such as Mammal, Front Counter, Guns For Glory, Girl VS. Ghost, This Collision, Grandvue, and KRAM. North Of The Border captures their audience with their energetic, dynamically infused performances. One review compared vocalist Brendan Horn with “an ADD kid with a bag of sugar”. Reverb Publication praised the boys for their do it yourself attitude and Horn’s “angelic meets angry” blend of vocals.
