(1) Norse is a screamo-driven punk trio from Biella, Piemonte, active since 2018. Rooted in hardcore but unafraid to experiment, their sound collides dark screamo intensity with shades of noise-rock, post-punk, and even psychedelic textures. Screamed Italian lyrics and a raw, DIY production approach give their music a visceral edge, while their commitment to physical formats like cassettes and vinyl highlights their underground ethos. Since their first self-titled EP in 2019, Norse has steadily carved a place in Italy’s punk and hardcore community, staying true to the energy of their provincial scene while reaching wider audiences through co-releases on small independent labels. Their 2020 EP Blu marked a turning point, balancing ferocious bursts of aggression with slower, bleaker, and more emotional passages, earning attention from underground press for its stark contrasts and atmosphere. Follow-up singles and collaborations, including a 2023 split with post-hardcore band Abandoncy, further showcased their ability to weave intensity with experimentation. In 2025 they released their latest full-length album H. (2) Southern Highlands, New South Wales, Australia.
