Noonerschaft

Noonerschaft (Ned Kirby of Stromkern, Brad Barkett of Boole, and Bogart Shwadchuck of Epsilon Minus) was formed for the purpose of a surprise onstage collaboration at the Irreverence festival, a yearly EBM concert held in Madison, Wisconsin. The three members were booked to play with their respective bands, but formed a covert plan to storm the stage in matching Compton hats and surprise the crowd (and organizers) with a cover of N.W.A's "Straight Outta Compton", featuring backing tracks by Brad Barkett, and live accompaniment from additional members of Boole. The song was subsequently recorded and released online via Noonerschaft's website. The name is a play on Bruderschaft, a futurepop 'supergroup' formed prior to Noonerschaft for the purpose of releasing a single with proceeds going to a cancer charity. "Nooner" references a slang term for 'anus' utilized heavily by the character 'Darquechylde', a fictional blogger puppeted by members of Noonerschaft and used to troll online gothic communities.
