Artist
Nissar Hussain Khan (1909-1993) was a disciple of his father Fida Hussain Khan who trained him in the style of the Sahaswan-Rampur Gharana. He served as a court musician for Maharaja Siyajirao Gaikwad of Baroda. In 1970 he received the Padma Bhushan award. He spent the last years of his life at the Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkotta.
