Nikolai Ivanov was born in 1957 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He graduated the National Art Academy in 1986. He is the founder of the musical formation "OM" - folk, ethno jazz, new age, minimalism, ambient. He participated in the highest concert ever performed in the foot of peak Everest, registered in the Guinness World Records Book. The "OM" formation participated in festivals around the world - Germany, France, Hungary, Czech Republic, India. Common projects with German formations “Erdenklahg” and “Tua Rec”, and the Hungarian “Periferic Rec”.
