Many artists and composers including Jerry Goldsmith, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Elton John and Wagner have had a huge influence within Nikk's music. He is primarily a composer with experience within composing for film as well as an interest in sound design. Recently, Nikk has began to experiment with more contemporary ideas including prepared piano and modern jazz. Another area, which Nikk has experimented in, is electro acoustic and studio based composition. This has been one of Nikk's most successful areas within composition, as it combines complex technologies with creating music from raw sounds and transforming them into something unique. The other part is that of composing music that has music meaning and a language that people can begin understand and also question.
