Shiho Niiyama (新山 志保, Niiyama Shiho) (March 21, 1970 – February 7, 2000), a Japanese seiyū who was affiliated with Aoni Production, was born in 1970 in Nara. Niiyama was best known for voicing Seiya Kou (Sailor Star Fighter), in Sailor Stars, and Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War. She was also involved in the seiyū group, Virgo, who are the voice actresses of the anime and game, Ojōsama Sōsamō. In 1996, she released a CD single entitled Koi no Sousamou. She is also known to have sung image and insert songs for Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: SailorStars, Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko, and Wild Half, among others. Niiyama Shiho was diagnosed with a form of leukemia in 1998, and died of internal bleeding following pneumonia in 2000 at the age of 29.
