There are at least two bands with the name Night Train: 1) Hyde Park, New York-based blues band. 2) Canberra, Australia-based rock band. 3) Mongolian Alternative-rock band. 1) Night Train is a band from Hyde Park, NY that plays a blend of blues rock drawing influences from such artists as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix. The band currently consists of Jeff Armstrong (formerly of D.I.E. (Death InEvitable), guitar and vocals), Sean Sheridan (bass), John McLynn (harmonica, guitar), and Bob Perna (drums). Night Train plays both a large variety of delta blues and classic blues rock standards, as well as their own catalog of original music, blending traditional blues roots with contemporary ideals. 2) Canberra 5-piece Night Train are ready to pummel the ears of rock lovers everywhere with the launch of their EP “Puzzle”. “Puzzle” is the culmination of over a year’s hard work and many hours spent in the studio. Unlike many other rock releases in Australia, “Puzzle” contains an assortment of well written tunes that take the listener on a journey from “in-your-face” guitars to soft, thoughtful ballads all with the distinctive and extraordinary Night Train harmonies and production craftsmanship fans have come to expect.
