Nigel Planer is the actor/comedian who played the character of Neil on the early-80s UK TV show, The Young Ones. He released one album in character as Neil entitled Neil's Heavy Concept Album in 1984 on East West records. It was recently reissued on CD. Besides original songs and skits, the album also contains covers of Pink Floyd, Caravan, Donovan, Tomorrow and The Sex Pistols.
