Nicole Henry’s beautiful and distinctive voice continues to gain fans around the world. She has been awarded “Best Vocal Jazz Album of 2005” and "Best New Jazz Artist of 2004" by HMV/Japan, sharing their annual awards with other renowned artists such as Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Jane Monheit and Joshua Redman. The Nearness of You, her debut CD released in 2004 for the U.S. and Japan, ranked #2 on HMV’s Jazz Charts in Japan, second only to Norah Jones, and remained in the TOP 10 for over three months. It also reached #27 on the JazzWeek U.S. radio charts. Her March 2005 CD project with the Eddie Higgins Trio, Teach Me Tonight, was released in Japan and Korea and spent three weeks at #1 on the HMV Jazz Charts, 11 weeks in the Top 10.
