Niño Astronauta was born in Ensenada,Baja California,Mexico. It is a musical offering that is as original as it is challenging, a live electronic band that takes this genre to the next level. The project consists of Tati, Arkhota y Nacho. By combining their musical talents and the instrumental tools a new sound is created which carries hints of: Nu-jazz, breakbeats,Glitch pop,Latin rock, funk and tons of groove!!., Notable comparisons have been difficult to make, considering the sound is so fresh, yet memorable for every new listener. Niño Astronauta won the L.B.E Magazine music award as best live performance in 2002. The song 'Gran Hero',was selected by the extreme sports T.V. show 'Adrenalina', broadcast by Mun2 and Telemundo Internacional, the most viewed Hispanic networks in the USA and Latin America, 21 countries. The record label,Nimboestatic/Static discos, agreed to release Niño Astronauta's debut CD in Mexico. Their first CD was distributed in all major stores throughout Mexico, and is selling at an impressive rate for an independent project.
