“ Formed in 2008, our band consists of Rogier Werschkull on vocals and guitar, Roeland van der Put on drums, keys, and vocals, and David van Putten on drums, keys, and guitar. After years of making music together, we finally decided to share our work with the world in 2023. Escalate is a slow-released album that will be available on all streaming services starting from the 13th of October 2023. In addition to the album, we will also be releasing 10 music videos on YouTube, most of which were generated with the help of artificial intelligence. The name of our band is inspired by the post-war recovery program that helped rebuild Europe after World War I. Just like the program aimed to bring hope and progress, we see our music as a means of expressing our own hopes and fears for the future. When it comes to our musical influences, we draw inspiration from a wide range of artists. From the iconic sounds of Depeche Mode, Interpol, and Radiohead in the 80s and 90s, to the more recent works of The Whitest Boy Alive and Metronomy in the 2000s. The recording of Escalate took place in June 2023 at Martijn Groeneveld’s Mailmen studio. With his expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, we were able to capture the essence of our music and bring it to life in the best possible way. We are incredibly excited to share our music with you and hope that it resonates with you as much as it does with us.
