2007 - 2011 New Era Project, based out of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was formed on October 11, 2006. Vocalist Dustin Lowery and guitarist Matt Crain spent the next year and a half writing and recording countless songs. and in June 2007 would recruited bassist Andy Lowry (Formally of Piece by Piece/Downs Lane) and drummer Ben Williamson,(formally of Piece by Piece/Downs Lane) to help spread their music and further their sound. The music of New Era Project would gather a strong underground following, but even with the production value of Dustin's successful older brother Corey Lowery (Stereomud, Dark new Day, Eye Empire) New Era Project would disband before having a chance to make a commercial impact. The band would disband in early 2011 with Dustin Lowery now heading up alternative metal group 'Viasava'.
