Standing 5-foot tall, New Day Dawn’s lead singer Dawn Botti defies stereotypes. With every sultry powerful vocal note or scream of her guitar; one would never guess that this unabashed powerful and sexy rocker is also an accomplished attorney who holds a top level position at one of the world’s largest media companies. Yet it is clearly evident that music is Botti’s passion. From 1998-2003, Botti’s band Slushpuppy was the “band-to-watch” in the exploding New Jersey music scene. They worked with renowned producers, grabbed a coveted Jagermeister sponsorship along with placement on MTV and multiple music awards. Matt Pinfield called them “one of the next big things to come out of New York” and featured their single “Runaway” on K-Rock. Fate and personal differences broke up the band in 2003; yet Botti’s dream to pursue music never died. In 2008 she’d convince her husband/ drummer to start New Day Dawn. The band has been nominated for best Rock/ Alternative band by the Hoboken Music Awards; has opened for the likes of the Gin Blossoms, B.o.B, and Jesse Malin. And has played prestigious music festivals including: Union MusicFest, Millenium Music, Dewey Beach and in 2012, South by South West. The band is currently working with Chris Henderson from 3 Doors Down, who is producing the band’s next release at his Rivergate Studios in Nashville. Guest appearances on the album already include, Gregg Upchurch (3 Doors Down, Puddle of Mudd) and Bobby Caps (38 Special) Thi
