New Anthem m started as a band in January 2002. They are known for having a very exciting live show, great songs, and great live vocals. New Anthem has been having alot of fun and working very hard over the last 3 years. The band now has a 5 song ep that is being shopped to labels in hopes of getting a deal. In August 2002, New Anthem started thier first full time tour. Which primarily consisted of playing middleschool and highschool shows, day and night. After playing fifteen shows a week, for a 5 month period, they took a break for about a month and have been going strong ever since. The band often performs, playing everything from clubs, youth events, schools, churches, fairs, and alot more. The last 18 months the band has been a part of a huge youth outreach event known as Real Encounter. Real Encounter (www.realencounter.org) is a minisrtry organization that is geared towards students. It includes pro motorcross, pro skateboarding, powerful speaking, high energy music, and intense drama. Each event is free addmission with the soul purpose to reach hurting students, and give them hope. "We love to play, and if we get to help people with our songs and be a living example in the process, it doesn't get any better," says lead singer Adam McCabe. These big events are held all over the US, with each event running from 1,000 to 3,500 students. New Anthem has been helping people with there show, lives, and music for sometime now.
