'''Never Pass Entry''' are an alternative rock band, formed in Northern Ireland in 2004. They play a dirge rock with a strong influence from the early 1990s Seattle bandsand a very punk rock focused sound, however, more recently, they have experimented in what some would call a "Radiohead-lite" fashion Never Pass Entry can be traced to their first song "Airstrip", written by Thomas Brownlee while he was still in Vivacity along with Stephen Moore (guitarist) and Chris Chambers. Vivacity also featured occasional guest musicians in the form of Ross Henry and David McClure. They had no real success, but did self-release various EPs and recorded enough material for an album. After Vivacity disbanded due to "creative differences", Thomas realised he had a lot of songs left that he wanted to work on. What surfaced was the "Sepia Diagram Demos". A general collection of unfinished ideas which saw little use once the band came together bar "Airstrip" and "Systematic Devastation". Thom (bass and vocals) then asked Ross and Chris if they wanted to join the band, on guitar and drums, respectively. In 2007, Matt Sloan was added to the line-up to play rhythm guitar and perform backing vocals. Never Pass Entry started as a noise rock band with tracks like "Systematic Devastation", but eventually took on a sound more familiar to heavier punk rock drawing influence from Mudhoney and Nirvana.
