Netherfabrik is an electro-industrial act based in Hollywood, CA consisting of member Joshua Fielstra. Netherfabrik cites among its influences moody electronic movie soundtracks produced in the 1970’s and early 80’s, such as The Keep, A Clockwork Orange, Aguirre the Wrath of God, and Sorcerer (the first track on The Liminal Void EP, “The Awakening,” is a subconscious tribute to this style). A dose of later European bands such as Yello and A Split Second soon helped lend the cinematic influences a “classic EBM” style. A few early 4-track demo tapes eventually became The Liminal Void EP in 2001. People have likened the current sound of Netherfabrik to Frontline Assembly, Clock DVA, A Split Second, and C-Tec. www.netherfabrik.com.
