Nestor Makhno is a region rock band from Morganfield, KY / Huntsville, AL / Oxford, MS and Worcester, MA. It's currently Andy "Dale Petty" Meyers (ex- Sand Mountain Snake Handlers, current Sugar Gliders) on Bass, David Hale (ex-Slap Yr Bitch Say What and Two Five Shits)on guitar and vocals, and Trey Acklin on drums. Past members include David Gillespie (ex-Chinese Telephones, ex-Alabama Jihad, ex-Horse Porn), Jamie Sellers (played drums once, ex-Accusor) and Johnny Wolfsberger (ex- Scene Not Herd, ex-Two Five Shits) played tambourine on a recording or something. Alex Boyd (ex-Alex Boyd and his Shakin' Feet) sang for a little bit too. Nestor Makhno started as Saraghina, La Rhumba but all the people who were in that band quit because they didn't want to be in a band at the time but David and Trey wanted to still play music. Trey didn't own a full drum kit so they used a snare drum and David played acoustic guitar because they wanted to be like the Pine Hill Haints. Unfortunately, none of them could sing well enough so they developed a more punk rock sound. They played DIY shows all throughout Huntsville in 2005-2006 and even went on a short tour and played in Albany, NY, Benson, VT and Chattanooga, TN. Nestor Makhno became the Haikus of Jack Kerouac and moved away from their upbeat electric punk stylings to more reserved and more depressed (read: bad) lo-fi acoustic music and they added Carson Wright on banjo and Johnny Wolfsberger on Washtub bass, Trey played drums when he wa
