Nervozni Poštar (bosnian for "nervous mailman") is a Folk/Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band from Sarajevo, Bosnia formed in 1984. They connected the unconnectable 30 years ago: hard rock/heavy metal and folk, and created music that was loved by everybody. The idea came from doctor Fadil Šabović, who confronted folk singer Rustem Nezirović and Sarajevan hard rock crew led by Nikola Mitrović (R.I.P.), sworn metalhead. Two of them should perform songs in their own style (Rule would sing folk, and Nikola play rock/metal), while not respecting each other. Instead of the total disaster they expected, Nervozni poštar became a phenomenon since their first appearance of Folk festival "Ilidža 85". Probably because on the Balkans two kinds of music were loved: folk and rock. Their fusion connected even fans of these unconnectable genres, and created a band that broke all album-selling records over night. The band split-up in 1991, but reformed in 2001. They released full length 7 albums so far: 1985 - Vazda gazda 1986 - Zapamti, ja sam gazda 1987 - Ništa više nije kao prije 1988 - Ženim se (also known as Nervozni Poštar) 1989 - To je samo folk 'n' roll 2002 - Život, to je divna fešta 2004 - Gas, gas User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
