Neon Union is the grunge/metal band from Košice, Slovakia. They have formed in 2002 in Košice. In the beginning the band formers were : Martin Mihaľák (guitar, vocals), Dano Šeňo (drums) and Laci Madelnák (bass guitar) and their first band name was DRUNK MYSELF TO DEATH. After some time and after some regular "drinking parties" they renamed their band as Neon Union. Neon Union recorded their first album Imbued in december 2006. The current band members are: Martin Mihaľák (guitar, vocals) Laci Madelnák (bass guitar) Milan Guman (guitar) Juraj Reško (drums) What the Neon Union says about them: "We try to express the grunge music the way we feel about it. We play exactly the music we have always wanted to play. Our music is all about various feelings that the life brings, it is the music as the natural outlet, it is the other side of my ego, it is karma, it is love for energetic grunge and seek for our own sound – great noise, low slovak echo. Lyrics are in english, they do not deal society problems, rather the problems in my head... Most of the band went in the past through all kinds of disco radio music that the media force you to listen. Unfortunately the media influence remains. After all that shit we finally discovered NIRVANA, SILVERCHAIR, BUSH, RADIOHEAD, MELVINS, SEPULTURA, FOO FIGHTERS... The other bands that strongly influence us are SOULFLY, MUSE, PLACEBO, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, INCUBUS ... We recorded our first album IMBUED in the ESPRIT recording studio in Ko
