NEON LINE is a New Wave/alternative rock band from Los Angeles. It was formed by Japanese-born bassist/songwriter/producer, Sadaharu Yagi, in 2009. The early sound of Neon Line was authentic indie, rough but also catchy. Just like the music scene in the late 70’s when the second British invasion began, Neon Line’s sound also transformed slowly through 2010 and eventually grew into more synth-oriented, retro-futuristic rock. The debut single "More" was featured in the film "2-Headed Shark Attack" starred by Carmen Electra and Brooke Hogan. While absorbing and re-interpreting New Wave rock (such as Talking Heads, Simple Minds, The Cars, Gary Numan, Ultra Vox and New Order) by playing a lot of gigs in Los Angeles, the band decided to record their first studio album in Hollywood, CA. All the production for the record was done in summer 2011. The debut album, Rust To Gold, dropped November 11, 2011. Currently the band announced that they would pose their activity for a while.
