Nelson Faria is a Brazilian jazz guitar player. He started his guitar lessons with Sidney Barros (Gamela) in Brasilia. At the age of 19 Nelson Faria moved to Los Angeles and studied at the G.I.T. (Guitar Institute of Technology) with Frank Gambale, Joe Pass and Scott Henderson. After graduation he went back to Brazil and became one of the most important names on call lists for guitar workshops, clinics, seminars, recording sessions and concerts. He has performed in more then 30 different countries and has worked with artists like João Bosco, Till Brönner, Ivan Lins, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Milton Nascimento, Lars Jansson, Paulo Moura, Leila Pinheiro, Leny Andrade, Wagner Tiso among others.
