After his 1982 album "Trans", Young toured with a backing band dubbed the Trans Band which was composed of people he had worked with in all phases of his career. It featured bassist Bruce Palmer from Buffalo Springfield, drummer Ralph Molina from Crazy Horse, guitarist Nils Lofgren from Neil Young's pre-Buffalo Springfield days and Crazy Horse, and steel guitarist/keyboardist Ben Keith, who worked with Neil Young throughout his career until his death in 2010.
