Toronto, Canada (1981– present) Nec Nymbl (Nectarios Panagiotis Farmakis) is a unique Toronto based indie hip-hop producer (of Greek descent) who is not limited to a generic form and style. He incorporates various moods and styles, as well as world/ethnic, experimental, psychedelic and alternative forms of music fused into his diverse hip-hop sounds, not being limited to the "jazz/soul/funk only" based sampling which he has mastered. He is also a very skilled Phonetician (multi-syllabic MC with crazy word-play on a conscious tip) from the late 90's Scarborough scene (East Side of Toronto), creating various sounds inspired by life's joy, pain & empirical struggles. As a self-taught creator of musical collages, one can say that Nec uses various rare colours, different shades and beautiful shapes for the his art. Nec Nymbl was heavily involved in many of the hip-hop elements and a leader in a world-wide crew O.E.C. up until 2005. Starting out as a Producer in '98 at the age of 17-18, he was running a full recording studio and underground label at the age of 21-22. He was involved with local underground acts such as Scarborough Natives, Wikidry, Diabolix, Paraxeny which were based around the Lawrence and Pharmacy (Wexford) area where Monolith was formed also. Along with his brother Crony who began producing at age 13-14 and friend/school-mate Surge Cess, they began making very unique and advanced for their time hip-hop.
