1992, on the banks of Humbolt a new band formed out of the dismantled Brents T.V. Chris and John, joined with Al (ex-Green Day drummer) and Jess (known for his innovative cassete-'zine Troop Librarian) on bass they became the suit wearing THE NE'ER DO WELLS! The music was as energetic, spunky, and carefree, and downright the business. For some time the only fruit of the band on record was the 7" EP Hello It Is I, The Intolerable Bastard, Child Genius. The Ne'er Do Wells did play across the country, and were known for intersting interviews (Al would explain how to steal gigs from other bands by sabatoging border crossings.) Later more of their material was released on a split CD with Judy and the Loadies. Judy and The Loadies was very similar to The Ne'er Do Wells, it had Judy singing, John singing/guitar, Jess on bass, and Chris on drums! Also at about this time Chris, Jess and Al were in the band Thee Shatners, a Star Trek inspired surf group. But by 1994 part of the magic was lost and Al Sobrante left the group. It wasn't too long before John, Chris, and Jess flowed into THE HI-FIVES!! User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
