Their career began in 80s. At first they made cover versions in Finnish of The Ramones' material. Their first album had only Ramones's covers. After their first album they made albums where most of the songs were their own. They have recorded five studio albums and many singles including singles as the members of Ne Luupojat Surf, which is collaboration between Ne Luumäet, Pojat and Luonteri Surf. They have also released one live album titled "Se on live". (translating "It's alive", like a Ramones first live album) Ne Luumäet is one of the most important Ramones-style punk bands in Finland. The band split up in the middle 90s, but activated again in spring/summer 1999. They released a compilation album titled "Rahat ja pois" and toured during the summer in the biggest festivals in Finland.
