Nazaket Teymurova (b. 1972) is, perhaps, the best of Azerbaijani female singers - mugham performers of today, and a favorite of Azerbaijani public. She is a prima donna of the Azerbaijani State Opera where she is starring in so called "mugham-operas". In 2008 she was a real success performing her part of the mugham-opera "Leyli and Majnun" at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Her stage experience includes also many solo public concerts both in Azerbaijan and in abroad - in Europe and Asia. Along with her permanent mugham group "Khary bulbul" she released seven CD albums under the different national companies. Since 2005 Nazaket Teymurova has been a holder of the title "People's Artist", the highest state title awarded to musicians in Azerbaijan. In 2011 she was awarded a UNESCO Prize "for the most beautiful voice" of the 8th International Festival "Sharq taronalari" in Samarqand/Uzbekistan. In 2012 Italian label "Felmay" released her CD.
