Blending a diversified combination of dance, psy, ambient, and rock, Naviline is singer/songwriter Kelly McCall Brown. The daughter of a guitarist and classical pianist/vocal teacher, Brown grew up in Dallas, TX listening to gospel, rock and classical music, and performing in church and school choirs. She had an intense passion for music from an early age, and studied multiple instruments, including piano, oboe, flute and guitar. Sister of Seattle-based psytrance artist Jirah (Tim McCall), Brown became very involved in the world of underground electronic music, particularly in the flourishing rave scene of the mid-nineties. An avid scene supporter and party frequenter, she began funding and hosting her own parties in 1999 at her Texas ranch (The "Millennium Parties"), which showcased several prominent local DJs and gained a significant cult following. Inspired by these parties, and by the music of Opus III, The Orb, Sasha, Chicane, and The Future Sound of London, she felt compelled to begin creating her own music. In 2002, she joined forces with Coy Wright and Rick Reyes, and the trio released a white-label EP entitled Fallen, under the name Wright & Reyes + Naviline. The EP consists of remixes of their most well-known track of same name, with Jirah and The Carbon Community contributing material. The EP also includes "Battle" - a downtempo, soulful number that is a clear departure from the remixes - and a dance remake of A Flock of Seagull's 1983 hit "Space Age Love Song".
