National Trevor is Si Waite. Si writes, sings and produces electronic pop songs using guitars and computers, mixing rock and folk with electronica. His influences include Beck, Thom Yorke, Nick Drake, Peter Gabriel, U2, Radiohead, Caribou, Four Tet and Imogen Heap. His debut album “Baby I’m Your Boy” is a collection of songs about destiny, death, interdependence, recognition and wasting time. Si was formerly the frontman of Captain Yange. He is also a lecturer and a community musician delivering creative projects for young people. He also writes music for film and theatre. National Trevor will tour in 2011. Si is currently developing new performance techniques that incorporate the best of live instrument and electronic performance.
