In Fall 2003 Daniel, Björn and Tang-Qui had the idea to form a band. Because they needed a bassplayer, TQ called his former class mate Florian Rissmann. After the first rehearsal session Florian joined the band. Firstly the band practised in Björn's cellar under the name "Almost Over". Soon they realized that a second guitar player would enable the band to play more complex arrangements: Armin Scholz, a class mate of Florian, was asked to join. In Fall 2004 Armin was a set member of the band. Together they worked on songs but soon realized that "Almost Over" sounded like a pop-act. They changed the name to "Nation's Cry". In the meantime Florian has shown his talent as a singer and completed the band to get on stage. The first gig was set on the 17th of December '04. Afterwards more gigs were played but soon a problem came up. The band was not satisfied with the work of Armin anymore and they split in October '06. But the new rhythm guitar player was not far away. Lucas Michelis, a class mate of Daniel, and a faithful fan of "Nation's Cry" was considered as the new rhythm guitar player. After proving his creative talents with the song "Redemption" and some rehearsal sessions Lucas joined the band as full member. His style fits perfectly into the Band's songwriting and brings it to a new level.
