NATHALIE MANSER, virtuoso cello player, has been brought up since her early childhood in the world of classical music. After obtaining a "1er Prix de Virtuosité with Jury's congratulations and the highest diploma of the State Musical Academy of Lausanne, the "Concert Licence" (studying under Philippe Mermoud), she had the opportunity to play with several orchestras in the French part of Switzerland and has continued her musical education by following Master Classes in Germany (Freiburg). As it appears, the rigidity of classical music could hardly offer her any room for personal creation or interpretation. For this reason, Nathalie MANSER moved away from classical music in order to create her own musical compositions and adaptations with the cello. Thanks to her knowledge and mastery of the instrument, she has been able to produce her own personal and sensual music issuing from "World Music" and "Meditative" trends.
