Artist
Nate Paulson (born June 11, 1991 at Detroit Sinai Hospital), is an upcoming hip-hop artist from Southeast Michigan. In effort to maintain authenticity, the building block of hip-hop, he decided to opt out of a "stage name" unlike many other artists. In 2009, Nate enrolled at Grand Valley State University and relocated to the artistically inclined city of Grand Rapids. Despite receiving exceptional support from the college crowd, Nate is not a typical college emcee. Furthermore, his rhythmic technicalities and extensive vocabulary has helped him earn the respect of his competition. However, it's his musical originality that will inevitably make today's stars his opponents. Pulling from diverse influences such as Big L, Thelonious Monk, Mos Def, Amy Winehouse, and Rage Against The Machine, Nate's personal taste has helped separate him from the plethora of carbon copied rappers on the scene today. Nate plans to extend his growing fan base he lovingly calls "The Grapevine." He speaks proudly of his roots and strives to become widely accepted as a voice of his generation. Debut project "Protect Your Dreams" by Nate Paulson. As a 21-year old college student, Nate mixes melodies and wordplay with late night adventures. Born in Detroit and relocating to Grand Rapids, Nate is a fresh take of what the Midwest Hip-Hop scene has to offer.
