Natalie Jane Anderson was born in Bradford on October 24th 1981. From an early age Natalie wanted to be a performer and landed the leading role of Alice in 'Alice in Wonderland' at The Bradford Civic Theatre aged just 12yrs Old. From then she attended Intake High School a performing arts school in Leeds which has been the breeding ground for many well known faces such as Mel B , Angela Griffin and Sarah Jane and Andrew Lee Potts. Her first television role also came whilst she attended Intake. Natalie Played bitchy school girl Francesca in BBC'S The Biz alongside, Paul Nichols, Nathan Constance and Andrew Lee Potts in 1996. Natalie graduated from Intake in 2000 and the went on to study for a BA in Performing Arts at LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney. It was whilst at LIPA that Natalie entered the first series of Pop Idol which saw her competeing with the likes of Will Young and Gateth Gates. Natalie made it into the final 50 but narrowly missed the final 10 coming third in her heat which was won by Will Young and Korben. Natalie graduated from LIPA in 2003 having aquired a music manager and agent due to her apperance on Pop Idol. Natalie set about auditioning for various TV roles. One of the roles she went up for was a midwife in Holby City. The audition process was filmed by the BBC for a documentary called 'Making it at Holby' which was screened in early 2004.
