Naser Masoudi, known as "Nightingale of Guilan" and "Sultan of Guilan's song", is the oldest Gilaki contemporary singer who is famous for some of his golden works like: Mirza Kouchak Khan, Korashim, Banafshe Gol and... that have been released so far. He was born in 1314 (1936) in "Seyghalan" district in Rasht. He was the youngest child in the family. At the age three he lost his father and along his three brothers and three sisters moved to "Sookhte Tekyeh" located in Mostofi alley of Rasht . At that time the older sister was the only breadwinner of the family by sewing. In 1328 (1950) his family moved to Tehran and he could serve the master Ali Akbar Khan Shahnazi as a student. He then returned in 1334 (1956) to Guilan and participated in the field of theater activities, and after lunching Radio of Guilan in 1336 he came to radio as one of the first singers in radio performance. In 1339 (1961) by a friend of his family he got introduced to Professor Ahmad Ebadi and Mrs. Molouk Zarabi, this introduction was the most important events of his life and considered influential in his career. In 1342 (1964) he married a Gilak girl and two daughters with names; Banafshe and Bita and a boy; Ali was the result of this marriage. During 50 years of his artistic activity more than 500 songs remained: over 200 Persian songs, 250 Gilaki folk songs and some other memorable performance.
