Artist
Naoyuki Honzawa was born in Nasu-shiobara city of Tochigi prefecture, Japan in 1971. He now lives in Kaisei-cho of Kanagawa prefecture, Japan. After graduating from Tohoku University School of Engineering, he moved to the United States to attend the Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Jazz composition, and graduated at the top of the honor list in 1997. He studied Composition under Greg Hopkins, and Jazz Vibes under Dave Samuels. He is a winner of the Charles Mingus Award. He acquired a weather forecaster license in 2003. He joined Music Eight, Inc. in 2009 as a composer/arranger. His notable works include wind-instrument music such as "Flying into the Future" (Enterd piece for "KYO-EN VIII, Prosperous Future For Band into The 21st Century"), "Canopus", as well as many pops arrangements for Music Eight and New Sounds In Brass.
