Nanah is a small girl. Small enough to rejoice naively and sincerely to all around her, yet smart enough to hold and wait, to avoid the rain and the dark when furious beasts lurk. She climbed trees and splashed the water, gathering small treasures, just to please imagination of a child. She travelled the world and sung songs of her and someone else’s grandmas (nannies) even when she didn’t understand the words. Now, when rain and dark aren’t fearsome any more, Nanah sings her songs through tears and laughter, sincerely, although childhood days are long gone.
