Nana baBa jaH-aYe, aka Stanley Alexander MARTIN, theorist/writer/poet/musician/scientist & devotee of The_One-God, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies on December 1st 1952.... He was baptised Catholic & later in his teens went through the pains, bliss & panics of their rituals of communion & confirmation.... ....Then, a British National through both his grandparents, Nana/Stan was "stolen" (as he decribed it in his first book: "WHERE I AM COMING FROM", Akira Press 1985), to the United Kingdom in 1961... Writing, in ANY form became a fascination/obsession from 12 years old after he was first published in his Primary school end of year magazine.... At Grammar School, where, at first, he was only one of two boys of African descent in the entire school, he was triumphant in ANYTHING they dared him with, winning the All-Round-Boy award two years in succession! Poetry, his english master told him, he wrote naturally like Dylan Thomas, but FAILED his only exam in music! Nana, however tended to 'A's' in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics....And English Language! In his adult years, Nana/Stan went more-or-less successfully through 4 universities & in the 1990's was a qualified Lecturer in Media Studies & IT.... Depressed, after the death of his mother, Stanley moved to Medway, Kent in 1998, & began voluntary work with the mentally ill & started his media company, jOy MEDIA.
